  • San Francisco & A Blue Hat

First off, I have to say…I’m completely enamored with San Francisco. It reminds me so much of Seattle – but bigger and more compact; you’ve got more people and more square footage in a smaller area. It’s got the big-city feel paired with charasmatic-city charm, and I almost felt at home strolling down the sidewalks from the sunny Embarcadero waterfront to the shopping district at Union Square.

Though I was just visiting SF for work, I was able to spend a few hours catching up with the lovely Amanda of Fashionablee Me - a necessity while I was in such close quarters with her! If you’ve never checked out her fashion blog – do your self a favor and head there now. Oh, and did I mention she’s responsible for much of the marketing over at Poshmark? Yea – Amanda has got it going on (with a side of sass – a favorite friend trait).

If you’ve never had a chance to explore San Francisco – put that on your list of things to do. And bring layers, because just like Seattle and my emotions, the weather tends to be a bit unpredictable!

    My Outfit Details:

Hat: Forever 21 | Scarf: Zara (old, similar here) | Cross-body bag: Gifted | Sheer top: H&M (old) | Skinny star print jeans: GAP | Ballerina Flats: J.Crew

  • A Little Mint Belt

I’m obsessed with Pinterest – and this is a pretty obvious fact. And there is a particular pin, from a J.Crew lookbook, that I’ve always been obsessed with. This outfit is my ode to that J.Crew lookbook photo – and though my green skirt isn’t sequins, my chambray button down is from J.Crew and the fun vibe of mixing textures & colors is in my outfit.

The photos were taken by Chelle Ticeson at Kubota Gardens in Seattle – a quaint little place that is great for a walk with friends, or a blog photoshoot (duh).

I’d also like to take a (random) moment to thank everyone for all the positive feedback on my last (emotional girly) post - I got so much positive feedback, and it makes me so happy when the things I write or post affect my readers. Stay gorgeous, you reader you!

About the outfit…my chambray button down is from J.Crew (got this steal on sale, but a similar plus-size and straight-size), the striped peplum top is from Zara (but I love this plus-size one and straight size one). My green pencil skirt is from H&M (old, but they are easy to find!). Shoes are by Matisse (old, but I’m obsessed with these). The neon clutch is also H&M, and my lipstick/lip gloss is a Trish McEvoy Barely Nude + NARS lipgloss combo. And last but certainly not least, my little mint belt is from ASOS Curve (and I’m totally obsessed with belting EVERYTHING with it).

  • New Stripes, Old Trucks

chic curve georgetown seattle old trucks fashion

Seattle has so many wonderful nooks-and-crannies, and one of my favorites is the old trucks in Georgetown. There’s a lot with a bunch a vintage Ford trucks just sitting around – WAITING for some opportunistic fashion blogger to take advantage of the rusty bodies and bright colors (So I just couldn’t let those trucks down).

I’m also a huge fan of stripes right now – a little late to hop (back) on the striped-wagon, but they go with everything – red lips, florals, prints, bold colors, subtle colors…must I continue?

Now – let’s chat outfit. The sunglasses and necklace are from good ol’ H&M (but I like these sunglasses and this necklace too). The blazer is from Target (it’s old and one of my favorite pieces in my closet, remember when I wore it here and here), striped a-line top is from ZARA (similar here) and shoes are by Seychelles.

Photos taken by the lovely Chelle T., if you are in Seattle and need photos taken, contact her here

  • Cherry Blossoms and Gingham Repeat

It has been unbelievably beautiful these past few days in Seattle, so I decided to take advantage of the weather and head towards Lake Washington – the large lake that the city and suburbs surround (since Seattle doesn’t have beaches like Cali or Miami!). And then I spotted these gorgeous cherry trees – in full bloom – and I just knew that is where I wanted to snap my outfit photos (taken by the lovely Chelle Ticeson).

Enough chatter. Let’s talk about the clothes. Most of this outfit you’ve seen (like here and here) but the skirt is new (from Zara, similar here). I’ve been attempting to get my hair up in the perfect top knot/bun for quite sometime, taking note from one of my favorite fashion bloggers (check her knot out here), however I’m still in training. Stay tuned – maybe next time I’ll perfect the art of the top knot.

Also – quick note. I’m on Pinterest and Bloglovin – so if you haven’t already, follow me & drop me a line in the comments if you are on these sites as well (I’m always looking for new, fabulous people to style-stalk!).

  • Chain Game (Photoshoot Pt.2)

seattle fashion blogger photo shoot rebel vintage curls

It’s time for part 2 of last week’s photoshoot (see part one here). Another big shout out to Chelle Ticeson for the amazing photos, visit her Facebook page here.

The dress is vintage and modified (by me) – and I love the chain pattern that weaves it’s way all over the fabric. My lipstick in the first outfit is MAC Rebel, and in the second it is MAC Snob. Shoes in the second blog post are from ASOS (similar here) and the little neon bag is from H&M (old, similar here).

This shoot was so much fun – what girl doesn’t like playing dress up (not one reading my blog)?! The weekend in Seattle was also absolutely amazing and I took some time to head to Pike Place Market and pick up some flowers and ingredients for a lovely light summer dinner. I’m guessing it was sunny and gorgeous wherever you are – what did you do to enjoy the weather this weekend?
