    Texture ASOS coat seattle fashion

Outfit Details: Long Coat: ASOS | Scarf: Nordstrom | Top: Macys | Shoes: Zara (similar) | Bag: Zara (similar) | Wallet: Bought in Thailand | Lipstick: NARS Cruella

Confession: I’m completely obsessed with my new ASOS jacket. It started off as one of those online orders that I knew I would either love or loathe – but after a few wears I realized that not only did I love it – it had become my go-to cold weather piece. The play on texture (see the image of the back of the coat below for details), the rose gold zippers, the dark blue (p)leather accents…it’s design perfection.

Enough about my outerwear obsession. How about them HAWKS! Seattle, my wonderful city, is having it’s year in 2014. Macklemore won a few Grammys, the Seahawks just won the Superbowl (it feels surreal to say that out loud)…anyone who didn’t know about the greatness within this little-big city is now discovering it.

Also…quick side note on my hair. I updated my color to the so-trendy ombré color late last year, but haven’t posted many pics of it since then. I got my color done at Gene Juarez – Patrice at the downtown Seattle location is a hair magician. For someone like me, who is always wearing my hair messy and accentuating my natural wavy texture, ombré color is the perfect easy-going addition. I think I’ll keep it this way for a while (or until I get bored and make an irrational decision, of course).

And that’s about it folks, enjoy more outfit pics below!

alleyway seattle street style outfit post blogger

Fashion blogger shooting photos in an alleyway – typical. So it’s me again – with another combination of items from my closet, freshly thrown together just for you.

And while I love all the pieces of this ensemble (see below for outfit details) – it’s my jewels I’m most obsessed with. My arm parties and wrist candy have been completely upgraded recently – all due to the work of the wonderful designer Marrin Costello. These pieces are hand-made in LA – and not only are they high quality, they are so gosh darn chic. Now it’s time for the best part: right now you can get any Marrin Costello piece half-off via Gilt. That’s right folks. So if it’s time to upgrade that tired old wrist – this is moment to strike.

    Outfit Details:

    Jewerly – c/o Marrin Costello

    Booties – D.V. via Poshmark

    Tank – c/o Shillingford Co.

Jacket, sunglasses & purse – gifted and thrifted

  • Leather & Leopard

leather and leopard ostrich bag star pants seattle blogger 1

What’s leather, leopard and striped all over? Me – this past weekend!

And that’s all the witty banter I have for you (for now).

The jacket is literally an old man’s vintage bomber jacket I got a thrift shop (cause shit it was 99 cents!). The striped blouse is from Forever21 (plus size here), pants are my favorite skinnies from GAP. My booties are c/o Aldo and have become a fall/winter staple for me. The faux-ostrich bag is a wonderful item that Rehka of Outrage Fashion sent over to me – and I’m completely in love with it! The scarf is an old favorite I picked up in London years ago, and the hair is all mine. That’s right ladies – real Natasha hair.

A Notes about Moving Skirts from Summer to Fall

I’d like to take moment to chat about bringing skirts into Fall. I was having a conversation with a (very fashionable) coworker of mine, about how strange it felt/looked to throw on skirts & tights – and how when we got dressed in the morning, we’d always end up changing back into pants. We discussed having an anything-but-pants day during the week to force ourselves to get out of the habit. It’s just when you’ve got bare-legged in skirts all summer, then start pairing them with dark tights – the contrast in style seems a bit uncomfortable (especially if the skirt isn’t a dark color). So with this post – it starts. Skirts with tights. Get ready for it. I’ll be trying to make this Fall my most skirt-lined-season ever.

    What I’m Wearing

I’m not sure what I should call the highlight of this outfit – every piece is my favorite. The statement necklace was a birthday gift from my sister – it’s the J.Crew Archipelago necklace (sold out, but similar here) – and the colors in the necklace inspired me to stick to strictly black & white for the rest of my outfit. My top is an amazing thrift shop find (Hey Macklemore, can we go thrift shopping? Yup, yup, yup, yup) and I call it my typewriter button-down, because it’s got random letters along with faded black stripes. The skirt is courtesy of SimplyBe – it’s a faux leather skirt with a perfectly placed pleat to add only the flattering curves to your figure (and hide away the others…).
