  • Seattle, Je T’aime

    Oh silly me.

While so many of my fashion blogging friends (follow @JessEstrada, @MollieInSeattle and @lHeatherMH for updates!) are heading to NYFW and IFB this week in the amazing New York City – I thought a summer night in downtown Seattle would be the perfect location for my next street-style-esque outfit post. And no – I won’t be in NYC for the festivities this year, but I’ll be watching closely and sharing lots and lots of opinions on collections and more via my Twitter profile.

Now let’s chat clothes. This amazing Je’Taime sweater (from ASOS curve) is my new, favorite piece for fall. I’m so excited for fall that I’m already filling up my closet with knits, loose and comfy tops…so hopefully fall weather starts to kick in come October! The envelope clutch is one of my favorite H&M finds from last year (also seen in this outfit post), and the silver vamp shoes are from ASOS (also wore them here). The necklace is vintage YSL (and I’m totally obsessed).

The amazing photos were taken by my good friend & photographer Chelle Ticeson.

  • A Little Mint Belt

I’m obsessed with Pinterest – and this is a pretty obvious fact. And there is a particular pin, from a J.Crew lookbook, that I’ve always been obsessed with. This outfit is my ode to that J.Crew lookbook photo – and though my green skirt isn’t sequins, my chambray button down is from J.Crew and the fun vibe of mixing textures & colors is in my outfit.

The photos were taken by Chelle Ticeson at Kubota Gardens in Seattle – a quaint little place that is great for a walk with friends, or a blog photoshoot (duh).

I’d also like to take a (random) moment to thank everyone for all the positive feedback on my last (emotional girly) post - I got so much positive feedback, and it makes me so happy when the things I write or post affect my readers. Stay gorgeous, you reader you!

About the outfit…my chambray button down is from J.Crew (got this steal on sale, but a similar plus-size and straight-size), the striped peplum top is from Zara (but I love this plus-size one and straight size one). My green pencil skirt is from H&M (old, but they are easy to find!). Shoes are by Matisse (old, but I’m obsessed with these). The neon clutch is also H&M, and my lipstick/lip gloss is a Trish McEvoy Barely Nude + NARS lipgloss combo. And last but certainly not least, my little mint belt is from ASOS Curve (and I’m totally obsessed with belting EVERYTHING with it).

    xoxo

  • Seattle Fashion Bloggers: Fall Photoshoot (Pt. 2)

This Post was brought to you by City Goddess.

In the first post of this series, I published my favorite group shots from the Seattle Fashion Blogger Fall Photoshoot, which I’ve spend the last month planning & styling. Today, I’m going to introduce each blogger, and post my favorite individual shot of the ladies.

Let’s meet some of the amazing faces of fashion in Seattle!

Mary Lou Ricci. Styled by @NatashaJarmick. Photography by @lHeatherMH

Meet Mary Lou Ricci. The minute you meet this stylish lady you feel welcomed and comfortable – I can honestly say she is one of the nicest people I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. She always looks polished – even when she’s not trying. Mary Lou throws on a sweater and some leggings, and its effortlessly chic. She is always updating her Tumblr blog with inspirational finds from new designer trends to DIY fashion ideas.

Ashley Breckel. Styling by @NatashaJarmick. Photography by @lHeatherMH.

Meet Ashley Breckel. This shopaholic has got style & sass – two things I treasure in a lady-friend. She walked in wearing the perfect purple J-Crew sweater, and has definitely convinced me that this shade of purple is going to be HOT for fall. Ashley authors the wonderful fashion blog, Style Umbrella, covering all things stylish including fashion, interior decorating & the wonderful city of Seattle.

Crystal Southcote. Styled by @NatashaJarmick. Photography by @lHeatherMH.

Meet Crystal Southcote. Crystal is one of those amazingly gracious people who has done a little bit of everything in their lifetime. When she’s not teaching yoga, traveling to Thailand or striking a pose, Crystal is writing Seattle IMO, a unique blog about all things Seattle – with a stylish twist. I’m looking forward to getting to know Crystal more, and already admire her sense of style.

Alyson Andrews. Styled by @NatashaJarmick. Photography by @lHeatherMH.

Meet Alyson Andrews.  I’ve been following Alyson’s blog, Crushing on Clothes, for a while now, yet only recently had the opportunity to meet her. She is always laughing, and fun to be around. Her style really reflects that – she’s all about the fun and interesting pieces, from funky jewelry to chunky shoes. I love her attitude, and you’ll love her blog.

And then, there’s me. If you are a regular reader, well, hello. If you aren’t, welcome to The Chic Curve. I’m not going to talk about myself, because well, I do that most days on the blog

Working with all the ladies for this shoot was AMAZING. Not only do I have some amazing pictures, but some new lady-friends who I’m not embarrassed to be seen with – because they’ve got some serious style.

Stay tuned…we have one more post coming…a VIDEO! (whoop whoop!)

  • Seattle Fashion Bloggers: Fall Photoshoot (Pt. 1)

This post was brought to you by Box Clothing

Styling by @NatashaJarmick. Photos taken by @lHeatherHarrington.

Where do I start. Long story short: a little Twitter conversation turned into a Seattle Fashion Bloggers photoshoot, styled and directed by myself.

I spent almost a month working out the concept for this shoot. I wanted the styling to resemble a more urban, gritty J-crew vibe, with the color choices and center-parted hair. All the ladies, who are all fabulous bloggers from the Seattle area, are wearing nude lipstick & smokey eyes, with black skinnies, chunky heels & gold jewelry. The pictures turned out wonderfully, in large part to Heather Harrington who played the role of photographer, once again, for The Chic Curve.

These pictures are only part one of a three part series. Take a look through the pictures, taken in front of the Seattle Skyline & SODO Graffiti Wall. Tomorrow, I will introduce each blogger and post the individual pictures. Stay tuned, you will want to meet these amazing fashion blogging ladies!
