Outfit Details: Chambray Baseball Cap via J.Crew (also love this Biltmore Baseball Hat via Madewell) | Oui Mon Cheri Linen Tee via J.Crew | Striped Linen Tank via Madewell | Purse: H&M | Leggings via GAP | Leather two-strap sandals via Zara

I’ve been eyeing this J.Crew chambray baseball cap for a while. But after months of flipping through Madewell catalogues and seeing countless pins of girls looking chic-as-ever in their it’s whatever hats, it was too much to take – so I took the plunge and joined the team.

Being a member of team cool-girl is pretty sweet. I get to show up wearing leggings, t-shirts and baseball caps and still get to call myself stylish. I’ve even gone up a level in my quest for it’s whatever style – I’m now on the hunt for the perfect pair of wear-out-pajama pants. Cause pajama pants are legit cool-girl shit now. If that’s not incentive enough to hop on this relaxed-trend bandwagon, I don’t know what is.

So go buy up all the linen tees, all the sweat pants, all the birks, all the slouchy, relaxed-fit, soft-texture stuff you can get. Before it’s too late and pants suits make their grand comeback. Hurry – but don’t appear too frantic. That’s so not normcore.

  • When It’s Too Hot for Clothes

…but you have to wear them anyways.

seattle fashion blogger outfit post curvy girl summer style 1

Outfit Details – Striped Linen Blouse: Madewell (similar fit); Printed Shorts: H&M; Necklace: Anthropologie (similar); Purse: H&M; Sandals: GAP (out of stock, but loving these)

It has been hovering around 90°F over the last week here in Seattle. And let me just say – IT IS HOT AS HADES. Us mild-weather-folk of the great Northwest start busting out the shorts & sandals at about 65°F, so this LA-like weather is a bit much. And I’m not even upset about the heat, really, I’m more distraught by the lack of work-appropriate hot-weather clothes in my closet. Since I walk to work, keeping cool is a huge factor (even with an air conditioned office). And with the majority of my shorts being homemade jean cut-offs (so not work approved), it’s been a struggle getting dressed lately (beyond the sweaty-back-bra-challenge, ladies you know what I mean).

So thank the H&Meavens (see what I did there?) for these breezy and bright floral shorts. I shall return to H&M soon, and see if they have them in any other colors/prints. Which isn’t good, because I’m challenging myself to a no-shopping July, but when the weather gets this hot, all bets are off.

Stay cool, you wonderful people. Especially if you’re a fellow Seattleite.

  • THAT Skirt

seattle fashion blogger striped skirt graphic tee

Outfit Details – Jean Jacket: J.Crew; Graphic Tee: H&M (old, similar); Dockstripe Skirt: Madewell (I also love this darker one); Leather Flats: Madewell; Sunglasses: Nordstrom; Lipstick: Clinique Chubby Stick in Pudgy Peony

It’s all about the silhouette – and this skirt is one of those rare, flattering-for-all pieces. It’ll create curves in places for those with more straight figures, and it will tastefully drape over problem areas, cinching at the tiniest part of the waist, for the curvier gals. A full mini is a MUST for summer, so hurry out and get one. No really. Do it. DO IT NOW.

  • How Outfit Shoots With Me Really Go

The story of a girl who just can’t keep her shit together.

natasha jarmick of the chic curve outfit post fashion blogger laughing

    Outfit Details –  Washed Vans: Madewell; Herschel Supply Co. Retreat Backpack: Nordstrom;  Flannel: Vintage, (similar); Top: H&M, (old, similar); Jewerly: Vintage & Marrin Costello;

If you know me well, then you know that no matter how hard I try, I can’t keep a straight face. Staring contest? I’m blubbering 5 seconds in. Really serious, important moment where giggling is the last thing I should be doing? You’ll find me running out of the room, hands over mouth. Whatever switch people have that allows them to turn off their silliness – well I wasn’t programmed with the option to flick it off.

So…when I realized it had been too long since my outfit post, I asked my friend (the good sport that she is) Heather to snap a few photos (bless her precious soul). And out of 84 pictures taken total – only 11 of them are me with a straight or serious face. So, these are the photos I present to you.

Warning: I. CAN. NOT. KEEP. IT. TOGETHER. Click through to see the photos (and hilarious captions).
