As you know…it’s October and fall is truly starting to show it’s orange and red colors here in the Pacific Northwest. And that means only one thing in October…PUMPKIN PATCH TIME! I headed out to a lovely pumpkin patch in the greater-Seattle area and ended up finding the perfect little pumpkin to hang out near my doorstep until I decide to gut the thing for all it’s seeds…and bake them into deliciousness.
Oh, what’s that? You want to know what I’m wearing? Sure, sure. I’ll tell you. My little coat is from GAP (it’s old, but I love this one), striped shirt is from H&M (similar here), scarf is from Forever21 (old, similar here), boots I’ve had forever (but these and these are amazing).
And if you can’t tell, I’m really into statement-socks sticking out of booties for this season. In fact I bought the most adorable pair of hen-socks from J.Crew this past weekend that I plan to flaunt near my ankles very soon!

Hello there.
You may be wondering…gosh that sweater looks familiar! And yes – you are right. It was in my last blog post as well! Now – let me clear something up – I did not wear this sweater 2 days in a row. Because in case you haven’t figured it out – every outfit isn’t blog worthy (no really, you should have seen what I strolled into work wearing on Monday. Natasha the lazy pants not fashion blogger). To sum up what you’ve just learned: fashion bloggers don’t look amazingly adorable every single day, and I’m here to K.I.R. (keep it real, c’mon).
ASOS Je T’aime Sweater – H&M Snakeskin Dress (old, similar here) – Chunky Matisse Heels – H&M Envelope Clutch (similar)
And now let me distract you from fashion for a quick, deep-thinking moment. How old are you? 21? 25? 36? 45? 78? Who cares. Why do we let age dictate so much of the direction of our lives?
Let me back up for a minute. I had a conversation with a blogger-pal who recently wrote a post about how she would love to die her hair pink & get tattoos – but she’s too “old” to acceptably do so in today’s society. And do you know what I told her? SCREW IT! Since when did we let our age stop up from doing daring, fun or even stupid, regrettable things?!
My mom doesn’t live by those rules. She dances crazy to hip-hop at weddings, turns up the Top 40 station in her car and belts out her favorite Katy Perry jams, makes inappropriate jokes & laughs likes she still in her twenties. And she’s beautiful, and she’s confident in who she is. And no matter how embarrassed I feel to have such a “cool” mom (cooler than myself at times) – I know I’ll be just like her when I’m older – young at heart forever.
This is your life – no matter how far along in it you are. Whether you are in your twenties or in your fifties – you have to just start living. You have to do what you want! And if what you want is to dress like Carrie from Sex and the City, but you are 60 years old – why let that stop you? If you want to die your hair pink but you are a 40 year old soccer mom – then DIE YOUR HAIR PINK and be a 40 year old soccer mom rockin’ a hot pink do!
One thing I have learned as I’ve gotten older is that the farther along you get, the less you do for yourself. And eventually, nobody is encouraging you to do things for yourself (like you experienced during childhood).
So follow your dreams NOW. Make yourself happy TODAY. Don’t stall. Don’t hesitate. Because you know, you are only getting older (oh yes, I went there!).

Oh silly me.
While so many of my fashion blogging friends (follow @JessEstrada, @MollieInSeattle and @lHeatherMH for updates!) are heading to NYFW and IFB this week in the amazing New York City – I thought a summer night in downtown Seattle would be the perfect location for my next street-style-esque outfit post. And no – I won’t be in NYC for the festivities this year, but I’ll be watching closely and sharing lots and lots of opinions on collections and more via my Twitter profile.
Now let’s chat clothes. This amazing Je’Taime sweater (from ASOS curve) is my new, favorite piece for fall. I’m so excited for fall that I’m already filling up my closet with knits, loose and comfy tops…so hopefully fall weather starts to kick in come October! The envelope clutch is one of my favorite H&M finds from last year (also seen in this outfit post), and the silver vamp shoes are from ASOS (also wore them here). The necklace is vintage YSL (and I’m totally obsessed).
The amazing photos were taken by my good friend & photographer Chelle Ticeson.

Seattle summer can be quite bipolar. Sometimes it’s sunny and hot, sometimes it’s cloudy and muggy, and other times (like last week) it’s all three plus rain, lighting and thunder. So on a more cloudy but hot day – what are you supposed to wear? Well duh – a summer dress with a fall sweater, right? Well, who cares if I’m “in season” in this post – this outfit was perfect for the day, and quite comfy too.
Let’s talk merchandise. My red lipstick is YSL (one of my favorites), earrings are vintage Givenchy, the dress is from J. Crew (but I like this plus-size and this straight size dress), the sweater is Free People (got it on sale last year – but this comfy oversized one is fab). My booties are Nine West, and raffia purse is vintage (no idea on the brand).
Oh – and random obsession moment. Can we talk about this Peplum Blazer (straight size, plus-size) from ASOS?! I’m totally in love. Probably going to have to cave and buy it (though everyone knows I do NOT need any more blazers!).

I’m very excited about today’s blog post (part 1). A good friend of mine who also happens to be a photographer offer to shoot me a few days ago (not shoot me dead, take pictures of me, duh) and of course I’ll never pass up the opportunity to have some professional pictures taken
The blazer I’m wearing is a vintage find, the sleeves are sheer and there is bead detailing on the front bottom of the jacket. The peplum top is from H&M (similar here) and the accessories are from Nordstrom, H&M and vintage (check out this amazing gold clutch) The amazing metallic vamp shoes are from ASOS (but I like these too). I’m wearing MAC “Impassioned” lipstick.
I love Seattle. It is my home town, my rainy city, my playground. I grew up here & truly believe it is one of the great cities of the world. I mean c’mon – even in the wet rain Seattle is still breathtaking (note the Space Needle behind me, a landmark since the 1960s). If you’ve never been to Seattle – you have got to visit. And if you decided to visit, give me a buzz and I’ll give you some fashionable tips on who to see and where to go.
Stay tuned for part 2 of the photoshoot next week, and like my Facebook page to see all of the photos from the shoot, which will be exclusively posted later today. And if you need a photoshoot in Seattle – contact Chelle Ticeson for some amazing pictures!

It’s Friday Friday Friday…and I’ve been eyeing some fabulous finds on the web this week. Here is what I’m currently coveting:

This is the blog post I have been waiting to show you…because my amazingly gorgeous floral print suit (ASOS) finally arrived at my doorstep! I decided to “premiere” this outfit by wearing it three different ways! Because the bonus of buying a matching printed suit is that each piece can be worn individually – and mixing & matching with other fun pieces in your closet is sure-fire way to justify spending just a little bit too much moolah on something fabulous
I also wanted to show everyone that you don’t have to be a size 2 to pull off something bold & unique! I originally saw this printed suit on one of my favorite fashion blogs, This Time Tomorrow, and thought it was AH-MAZ-ING. So I decided to just go for it – buy the suit & wear it with confidence! Though Krystal and I have such different body types – we can both rock this print – and SO CAN YOU!
Here is how I wore each piece in my 3 outfit renditions (photos are below):
