    Periwinkle pants in February? Yes!

Obviously the colored-jeans trend is in full bloom (regardless of the season) and I’m hopping on the bandwagon. Last week I purchased 3 pairs of (amazing) colored skinnies from the GAP which fit perfectly, have just enough stretch, and hit me at the ankle (my preferred length for skinnies). I’m going to wear these into spring – my favorite purchase in a while. I also decided to layer on my “around the world” sweater and my “bowser” cardigan (studded like a Pokemon, holler), both steals from F21.

And let’s take a moment to talk about my bracelets – all created by the amazing Marrin Costello (c/o). Marrin reached out to me last month when she was visiting Seattle, and we grabbed lattes (oh how Seattle of us) and chatted jewels. She brought samples of her handmade collections – all amazingly unique and edgy – and I quickly fell in love with both her and her craft. She ended up sending me my very own arm-party of skull & gold bracelets – which have now become a staple in my wardrobe. Check out her website and follow her on Twitter – there will be more to come from Marrin & her handmade jewelry line!

  • Seattle Show Fit

seattle capital hill night out show style 1

Most people who live in Seattle are frequent attendees of live shows – rock bands, underground rap, indie groups, even open mic nights with unknowns. This short post is the typical outfit I usually wear to shows, the particular event was in Capitol Hill.

The Outfit: J.Crew jean jacket (Summer 2012, similar here), J. Crew necklace (similar here), gifted cross-body purse, Forever21 top, H&M booties (but I like these and these).

  • NYFW: Seattle Blogger Style

new york fashion week seattle blogger style

I can’t believe it’s here again – New York Fashion Week: Fall 2013 collections. And while there are lots of ways to follow along the fun, why not take a local approach and follow around some fabulous Seattle bloggers who will be strutting down the New York City sidewalks this week? Below are some of my favorite Seattle bloggers who will be attending NYFW festivities, including the huge Independent Fashion Bloggers Conference, as well as parties, shows and other fashion-forward events.

Check out these ladies, and let’s support our local Seattle fashionistas taking our city’s name to the Big Apple!

  • Posh Party Seattle Recap

    poshmark posh party seattle1

As many of you are aware (because you attended!), last Thursday was the Poshmark Posh Party here in Seattle! A rather large group of well-dressed women, cocktails in hand, flocked to Seattle’s Hotel 1000 to party with myself and my co-hosts, as well as the wonderful ladies who run the magic behind the Poshmark app.

Going for the subtle mixed-print look, I decided to wear a sheer floral-print blouse from ASOS, tucked into some cute patterned pants I picked up from Target (similar here). Curly hair swept to the side, I painted on a coral-red sheer lip and sported my favorite Aldo leopard print booties.

To everyone who came out, thank you so much!
