  • Traveling Abroad: Dublin Street Style

    Hello everyone

I am currently traveling around Europe, so my entries for the next couple weeks will be fewer & shorter, but I found the most dolled-up, runway looking lady in Dublin yesterday, and I really wanted to share this picture with you all.

The man next to her is the stylist who actually did her hair & make-up. I ran into them at a corner store on O’Connel street in Dublin (a main way there).

I’m in Paris now, and will have more street style shots from around the world for you soon!

  • Seattle Fashion Week: Finale Runway Show

Seattle Fashion Week was amazing. I was one of the 8 bloggers who covered the event, and was treated like a high-profile member of the press. What does that mean for you? It means exclusive interviews, backstage photos, insider information & fabulous fashion right here on the Chic Curve!

There were 4 main designers: Anna D, Alexandra Perry, H.O.I.A. & the Finerie. I was lucky enough to interview Alexandra Perry about her line, which was wonderful. I will be posting that interview separately in a later post. The show was fabulous, the models were gorgeous, the clothes were high-fashion and the heels were high.

I had so many great pictures from the event that I couldn’t post them all. So at the end of the post, there is a gallery of thumbnails where any fashion enthusiasts can view more wonderful pictures.

I will say that I was impressed & surprised by the finale show – I honestly wasn’t expecting the professional models & high-fashion lines. I met some amazing people, including other bloggers & members of the press. If you get a chance to attend SFW 2012, take it. You won’t be disappointed!

No more stalling, I promise. Here are the pictures…

Here I am in my "press-fit"! More pics of me with designers & press in the gallery at the end of the post.

Caught this guy giving a haircut to a model before the show!

One of the designer's models had the craziest hair-dos!

I loved this huge fishtail braids & ridiculous use of blush for HOIA models.

  • Emerald & Lace

Random Story: The office where I work in Seattle is above Krispy Kreme, literally. People often ask me, “How do you resist the temptation?!” and my response is always the same, “I haven’t craved for a donut since the first week I started at this office,” and it’s true. Seeing that “Hot & Fresh” Krispy Kreme sign every morning does nothing for me! Good thing its not a chocolate factory, just sayin’.

Why it matters: The roof above Krispy Kreme is a huge deck for my office, and has a great view of the stadium & the downtown Seattle skyline. I will be taking more and more pictures on this deck as the weather here gets nicer.

The Outfit: My favorite thing about this outfit is not the adorable lace top from Forever21, or the dark green sweater vest. It isn’t even the necklace which I’ve named “Greek Princess,” or my classic cap-toe flats from GAP. My favorite thing about this outfit is the bracelet I’m wearing, which is actually a necklace I found in a vintage shop downtown. Check it out below & let me know what your favorite part of the outfit is!

Note: Today is the last day to enter the giveaway! Just comment at the end of the post with your favorite nail polish color!

  • Slicked Back on Platforms

Sometimes, its the small details that make the outfit.

Recently I was meeting a friend for Happy Hour in downtown Seattle, and as I walked towards the restaurant, I saw it it huge, black & yellow writing: “New Forever21 Store Opening TODAY!” Uh oh. I was pulled in by the shopping current…why fight it? And my friend could wait an extra few minutes, especially if it meant I might come out of the store with a bag full of cheap & delicious items!

And as I walked in, I realized I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Everything was fully stocked…there were adorable shoes, cute jewelry and sexy tops in every corner. And there were three floors of corners. I was no match for the new Forever21. So I gave in, and walked out of there with a HUGE yellow bag full of goodies.

You may be thinking at this point…why am I telling this story? Well, its because the shoes in my OOTD were snatched up during my shopping excursion that day (along with piles of other wonderful finds I really didn’t need). And they were $22.50. Yup, $22.50.

Enjoy the pictures and let me know what you think!

Note: Don’t forget to enter the giveaway at the end of this post – I will be announcing the winner on Friday!
